What HN said
What people liked
Fast, clean, simple interface
From 3 comments
I like it. Fast and clean. More importantly (to me), it let me see how few of the shows I watch are in IMDB.
reaperducer on HNLove the simple interface and speed. Looked up a few shows, but nothing's being produced during COVID :(
maximp on HNIt's much cleaner and simpler though

Better than articles padded with fluff

Not bad but as others have mentioned the data is way off in a lot of cases. I know thats not your fault but it's common across all of the google results for 'next season of x'.…
dawnerd on HNThanks for this, I've bookmarked the site and may use it in the future. It's a drag searching for new release dates in blog posts or articles purporting an answer, only to find…

Wrong or stale data for many shows (Office, Euphoria, Flash, Better Call Saul)

Guest19023892 on HNYou have really bad data. Euphoria the series references the wrong series (some old unrelated series, or likely wrong data). Euphoria is a series that started in 2019.…
emayljames on HNTrying to search The Flash brings up the 1990 series rather than the modern CW version haha
radicalriddler on HNWrong information for Better Call Saul. Season six is yet to be released.

Missing seasons (Atlanta, Succession)
From 2 comments
We skipped season 3 and I missed season 4! https://next-season-of.com/atlanta/ :) The data does seem to be pretty solid in my random other searches though.
maxmcd on HNNice work. Just a heads up for troubleshooting, I searched for Succession and it shows when Season 1 and Season 2 were released, and said it's next season is Season 4. Looks like…

RSS feeds for new episodes
From 1 comment
It'd be super cool to have RSS feeds (limited to episodes that have already aired), so I could subscribe to shows I care about and get updates in my feed reader when new episodes…

Watchlist for multiple shows
From 1 comment
Love it and bookmarked. Would love to be able to make a list of multiple shows and be able to bookmark that for a quick view of upcoming seasons to more than one show.

Show where the season airs

A nice feature would be to show where that season airs.

Questions
How is the scraping done and how often does it run?
From 1 comment
To the author, nice work. Kudos. Wanted to know how it actually works. Are you scrapping at a continuous interval, preparing ui components at those durations and build once it's…

Nice work for a weekend's worth of work. It does seem to have quite some overlap with https://next-episode.net
lode on HNI have found next-episode.net to be useful for this. I don't think you can get any insider news there but their status has been accurate to know when its been cancelled, or…

trakt.tv calendar
From 2 comments
https://trakt.tv has a calendar feature which supports both RSS feeds and ICS calendar feeds too. Nothing I'm associated with, just been a happy user of the service for years now
spondyl on HNhttps://trakt.tv/ has this info as well. It has integration with Netflix (via browser plugin), Kodi and VLC. I have been using it for years.

You might want to consider using https://thetvdb.com/ for your data source. It still has problems, but overall it seems to be more accurate than IMDb.
